Susie Ellis, Director of Community Development, of Habitat for Humanity Lee and Hendry Counties has been active in development work and fundraising since the mid 80s when she joined the affiliate as its first Development Director. She has been instrumental in moving Habitat’s mission of affordable homeownership forward through her work with Florida Tax Credits which accounted for 40% of Habitat’s 2.3 million dollar community fundraising effort this fiscal year.
Susie nurtures partnerships with corporations in Lee and Hendry counties to acquire donations and home sponsorships. Additionally Susie works with community fundraising projects, Building the Future Legacy Society and major donors. A former CFO and Lee County business owner, Susie is happy to share a business perspective of philanthropy, “How To Do More With Less.”
Susie is also a former member of the board of directors for Lee County Chapter of Red Cross and a certified director of Sweet Adelines International.

Sherri Ferguson has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She has earned the designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor.
She has also obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification. She worked for Citi Global Markets as a Wealth Management Specialist where she created “The Art of Discovery” training Module to teach financial professionals how to obtain the financial data and goals to chart a course for clients to achieve financial security. She has worked for Merrill Lynch, and was Regional Marketing Director for Hartford Life and Annuity Company.
Ms. Ferguson has provided financial plans to individuals and has worked with business owners and corporate executives to help design tax-advantaged solutions for providing compensation and retirement benefits to attract, retain and reward key employees. She can provide investment advisory services to business owners and individuals to help them attain their financial goals.
Ms. Ferguson is a member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists, and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She is also a member of the University of South Florida Alumni Association, Centre Club, and Femfessionals.
Sherri is also a member of the Advocacy Board of the Gus Stavros Center for Free Enterprise and Economic Education at the University of South Florida. She is a former board member of Florida’s Prepaid College Tuition Plan.
