What will updates to Social Security and Medicare do? Will they impact long-term financial security, retirement prospects and federal income tax? There are several different aspects to consider when deciding to receive Social Security and Medicare benefits because of confusing regulations. Every year drug coverage, co-pays and out-of-pocket costs can change, while doctors and hospitals and other providers may opt in or out of the system. Join us for an informative discussion on what these updates will mean to you and your clients.

Scott Thomas is the President of Stewardship Matters, Inc. an advisory firm in Maitland Florida. Since 1986 Stewardship Matters, Inc. has specialized in helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals. Financial advisory services include consultation on Social Security and Medicare issues.

Scott Thomas graduated from The University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Scott is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP). He is past president of the Philanthropy Advisors Council of Central Florida and is a member of the Board of Directors. He has taught continuing education for the Florida Bar, the Florida Institute of CPA’s, and Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) groups.
