Minutes of the Meeting

Present:
Steering Committee - Robin Lennon - Chair, Arlene Ravalo-Jao - Vice Chair, Paul Dumm, Bob Lynch, Sandi Perez, Scott Steadman

Resource Council - Robert Baldree, Kristin DiMeo, Richard Dotson, David Isley

Robin Lennon welcomed all the participants to the call.

The first agenda item discussed was the 2010-11 Strategic Plan Worksheet that had been approved by the Section members during the Committee Days meeting held on July 9th, 2010.  Robin discussed each of the goals and objectives.  A copy of the Strategic Plan Worksheet had been distributed to the participants and has been attached to the minutes. 

The second agenda item was the VFALS Conference.  Sandi Perez discussed the past conference attendance and updated the group on the progress of confirmed speakers.

In addition to the goals and objectives in the Strategic Plan, the following action items were identified to implement in our next call and following months:

• Review minutes for comments on Legislative discussion regarding white paper, charging liens.  Where does this stand?
• Is there a written procedure on succession?  If so forward to the complete committee.
• Update website task force contact information w/ Arlene.  We will work with Anne to get this updated.
• Verify that all section members’ emails are correct with Anne.
• Check with Mike Holland to see if there is an updated version of the Leadership Guide available if so email information to the committee (found version online - need to incorporate language for "recruiting e-mail")

The next meeting was scheduled for September 7, 2010. 

Robin thanked the attendees for their participation in the call and adjourned the meeting.
