MBAF Promotes Steven Morrison to Principal
Steven Morrison, CPA, has been promoted to principal in the Audit Department of nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF). Based in MBAF's Miami office, Morrison concentrates on serving both public and private companies in various industries including those with international operations. He also has experience with quality control as well as litigation support.
"We are delighted to recognize his dedication to our clients and our Firm,” said Chairman and CEO, Tony Argiz, in announcing his promotion. “His contributions to the accounting profession along with extensive knowledge of the industry will build upon the success and reputation of MBAF’s growing National practice.”
Morrison is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on the board of directors of the Miami Downtown Chapter and on the board of trustees of the FICPA Educational Foundation. He also currently serves on the FICPA's Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee. Morrison served on the 2014 and 2013 AICPA National Advanced Accounting and Auditing Technical Symposium (NAAATS) Steering Committee, and has also been a conference speaker on accounting and auditing issues of the equity method as well as on the going concern presumption.
Morrison attended the University of Florida where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Arts in Real Estate. He also earned a Master of Accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University.
