Lori Sampson-Wilson, principal with Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, Certified Public Accountants & Business Consultants recently addressed more than 30 association board members at the Community Associations of Fort Myers Beach.
Sampson-Wilson spoke to CAFMB members about hot topics in accounting for associations including loans, collections, insurance costs, negotiations and FDIC Transaction Account Guaranty Program expiration.
Sampson-Wilson has been with Myers, Brettholtz since 1993 working with nonprofit organizations, small business, and homeowner and condominium associations performing part-time CFO, controllership and consulting services. She received her BS and MBA degree from Hodges University. She is a past board member of the South Gulf Coast Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and has taught several courses regarding association accounting issues and is the firm’s leading source for QuickBooks support, information technology and budgeting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Condominium Owners Managers Association (COMA), American Resort Development Association (ARDA), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), CAI and Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, past Treasurer of the Gulf Coast Society of Fund Raising Executives and Kiwanis member.
