Myers, Brettholtz & Company provides Day of Caring for Child Care of Southwest Florida
Thirty staff and family members of Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA certified public accountants and business consultants recently spent the day at Child Care of Southwest Florida, Inc.’s Fort Myers’ location providing gardening, carpentry and other volunteer services.
“Providing service to the community when we can include our staff and their families is always that much more gratifying,” said Lori Sampson-Wilson, MBA, CAM principal of Myers, Brettholtz. “It was hard work, but we all enjoyed it.”
United Way’s Days of Caring is a year-round program that connects businesses with nonprofit agencies in need of assistance. Businesses have many choices as they select projects needing support by the agencies, including the type of project, location in the community, degree of physical labor and full-day or half-day time commitment.
Child Care of Southwest Florida Inc., a United Way agency established in 1967, provides early childhood education, as well as voluntary prekindergarten and Head Start programs, at its six accredited centers in Lee and Hendry counties.
Since 1979, Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA has been working with clients across the nation by performing accounting and auditing, tax preparation, bookkeeping and consulting. The firm has 24 staff members and provides accounting and bookkeeping services for timeshares, nonprofit organizations, condominium and homeowner associations and medical practices as well as individuals and businesses.
Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA is the outgrowth of a regional CPA firm first established in Miami in 1953 and the Fort Myers branch opened in 1979.
