Bob Morrison, managing partner of Morrison Valuation & Forensic Services in Orlando, has earned the Business Valuation Intangible Asset specialty designation from the American Society of Appraisers, making him the only business valuer in the state of Florida to achieve this distinctive designation.

Morrison – an Accredited Senior Appraiser with more than 20 years of experience providing valuation, forensic and litigation consulting services – said he recently was notified of the distinction by the society’s Board of Examiners.

The Intangible Asset specialty designation signifies that he has completed examinations for two 27-hour courses on the valuation of intangible assets, participated in at least 10 intangible asset valuation assignments, and submitted an actual intangible asset valuation report for review by the Board of Examiners.

With business degrees from the University of Central Florida and Miami University, Morrison now is one of only 26 business valuers in the United States to have the ASA BV/IA specialty designation.

Morrison VFS is a full service business valuation and forensic accounting firm providing business valuations for financial reporting, estate and gift, and sale and purchase purposes; forensic accounting investigations for civil and criminal matters; and consulting and testifying expert witness services in commercial disputes. Members of the firm frequently are also appointed in state and federal courts as a court-appointed neutral.

The oldest multi-disciplinary appraisal society in the United States, the American Society of Appraisers offers credentials in business valuation, real property, personal property, gems and jewelry, and machinery and technical specialties.
