Minority Summer Residency Program
This program is a 4-day, 3-night intensive college residency program aimed at minority college students who are interested in pursuing career opportunities in accounting. The program is designed to increase awareness of the varied careers in accounting; teach basic accounting concepts; develop professional soft skills; and guide the student through the process of beginning a career in the accounting field.
Accounting and business applications will be explored through interactive classroom exercises, a firm site visit and a comprehensive case study where students apply concepts from all areas of accounting to which they are exposed during the week. Students will participate in an etiquette dinner and a presentation of their case solution. They will also get to experience campus living, learn about campus resources and visit a local attraction.
