The FICPA Educational Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization that works to ensure the integrity and success of the accounting profession in Florida. Established in 1959, FICPA raises scholarship funds for Florida fourth and fifth-year accounting students.

FICPA has provided more than $3 million in scholarships and education programs to support Florida accounting students. Through the generous donations of FICPA members, the Foundation continues to provide more than $200,000 a year in scholarships to assist Florida’s future CPA leaders.

Last year, FICPA Educational Foundation awarded more than $150,000 to deserving accounting students. Each of our fundraising events is a fun way for you to contribute to a worthy cause!

27th Annual 1040K Run

Since 1989, the FICPA Educational Foundation has hosted a 5K/10K race in South Florida. The 2015 event will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The FICPA Educational Foundation will host the 1040K, in Coconut Grove, Fla.

The annual event has tremendous local support and has become a great experience for families and co-workers to get together for fun and exercise while contributing to a very worthwhile scholarship fund. It is important to continue this great support and we hope you join us again for our Silver Anniversary race!

The FICPA Educational Foundation Suncoast Scramble raises scholarship funds for Florida fourth and fifth-year accounting students. With the help of our sponsors, the Suncoast Scramble has a goal of raising $20,000 to provide deserving accounting students with scholarships.

The Suncoast Scramble takes place at East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar. The Suncoast Scramble combines the effort and support from our sponsors, the FICPA Suncoast Chapter, the Board of Trustees of the FICPA Educational Foundation and other local chapter officers and leaders.

The 8th Annual Ocean Reef Family Retreat

Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo

Our Ocean Reef Retreat is a casual event with a golf tournament, cocktail parties and a moonlight beach luau. It's all designed to promote the CPA profession, increase awareness and support of the FICPA Educational Foundation, and encourage attendees and their families to get to know each other.

Ocean Reef Golf Tournament

The tournament format will be an 18-hole, four person golf scramble – each player hits a shot and the best shot is selected each time until the ball is holed. This allows for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy this beautiful golf course.

Jeans for Scholarships

Florida Accounting Firms and Accounting Professionals

Florida accounting firms can promote “Jeans for Scholarships” and schedule a casual jeans day. Suggested contributions to the scholarship fund are $5 and $10 for individuals and can be matched by the organization, institution or firm. Proceeds go to the FICPA Educational Foundation to help provide scholarships to deserving accounting students. Firms that become official "Scholarship Wranglers" are listed as official sponsors on the FICPA website.

CPA Pie Challenge

The FICPA Educational Foundation is kicking off its CPA Pie Challenge on January 23, 2016 – National Pie Day. CPAs around the state are joining together and challenging their boss to take a pie in the face and raise scholarship funds for Florida’s accounting students.
