Volunteer with Give Kids The World and Inspire Hope

Give Kids The World Village is a 70-acre resort providing memorable, magical, cost-free experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses. The Village is a place where families make memories and find joy, laughter and serenity.

On June 13, the FICPA invites Mega CPE Conference attendees and their families to help create a memorable evening for these special children. Anyone 14 years and up can volunteer to staff The Village and become an “Angel.” From driving the Village Train to scooping ice cream, there are many ways you can bring joy to the lives of others.

The FICPA will provide transportation between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the Give Kids The World Village (located about 12 miles from Walt Disney World® Resort).

Volunteering is easy – just complete an online application.*

Event: Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 5-9:30 p.m. (Transportation provided)

Deadline: Register by June 1, 2013.

*All volunteers must undergo a background check as part of the registration process. Children ages 14-17 must have a parent/guardian complete a permission agreement.

Dress for Success Apparel Drive

A suit, a chance, a future … can changing her life change your life? It starts with you.

Drop off your nearly-new donations at the registration desk for the Mega CPE Conference on June 13, 2013, and we will take care of the rest. The Women in Leadership Committee is organizing a Dress for Success Apparel Drive, and we need your donations. The women’s apparel collected will be donated to the Dress for Success Greater Orlando, the Central Florida affiliate of the international Dress for Success non-profit organization. 

The organization’s mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Donations:
Donated items should be in excellent condition (no obvious tears, stains, etc.) and should be cleaned, pressed and on hangers, ready for use. Unfortunately, we can’t accept clothing in bags or boxes. Please contribute only items that you would feel comfortable wearing to an interview.

What We Accept:
- Business Suits (Skirts and Pants)
- Separates including Blazers, Skirts, Slacks and Blouses
- New Nylons and New Bras
- New and Nearly-New Closed-toe Shoes
- Accessories like Scarves, Purses, Belts and Jewelry
- Unused Cosmetics
