Why should I attend?
The Mega CPE Conference provides you with the most up-to-date and comprehensive training. Whether you’re an accountant, auditor, tax preparer or CPA working in non-public accounting or government, this event was designed for you.

When is the Mega CPE Conference?
Wednesday-Saturday, June 14-17, 2017 – the perfect time for a summer bizcation.

Where is the Mega CPE Conference? 
Join us at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. For more information about our new location, please visit the resort at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

What's covered in the conference fee?
When you register for the Mega CPE Conference, you’re signing up for up to 3 ½ days of CPE sessions, meals, breaks, receptions, exhibits, networking events and activities.

Who can attend?
Mega is great for the whole family!

What meals are included with registration?
As an attendee, you’ll get morning coffee and pastries, mid-morning and mid-afternoon beverage breaks and lunch on all days for which you are registered. You’ll also have the opportunity to add Friday night’s Chairman's Reception & Mega Gala to your registration.

Will I be able to request special meals (i.e. kosher, vegetarian)?
Don’t sweat! You will have the opportunity to tell us about special needs requirements during the registration process.

What other conferences are included in Mega CPE Conference? 
Mega CPE Conference offers four conferences in one location. The full agenda includes the State Tax Conference, Employee Benefits Conference and Women's Leadership Summit. While State Tax Conference and Employee Benefits Conference are included with your Mega CPE Conference registration, Women's Leadership Summit requires separate registration (please click here).

Where can I find information about sponsorship opportunities?

Can I bring my spouse or companion to the CPE Sessions?
Due to the business-focused atmosphere of the CPE Sessions, we respectfully request that you do not bring your spouse or companion to these sessions. Your hotel concierge would be happy to provide information on local attractions, Walt Disney World® Resort and the surrounding areas. Thank you for your understanding!

Easy - visit visitorlando.com and disneyworld.disney.go.com to learn about all the fun you can have while you’re here.

Getting Around

 

Does the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center provide transportation to Walt Disney World® Resort attractions?
Yes. Complimentary, scheduled transportation from the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center throughout Walt Disney World® Resort will be provided.

Parking
Hotel self or valet parking for FICPA Mega CPE Conference attendees:
Self-parking is $22 per day
Valet parking is $29 per day
Please note, parking fees do not include tax which is additional.

Networking

 

Will there be opportunities for small-group discussions?
You will have plenty of opportunities to grow your network. We have scheduled extended breaks, lunches and a vendor reception to help you meet other attendees and the vendors.

How can I network with peers through social media prior to, during and after the conference?
Connect with other Mega CPE Conference attendees by following the FICPA on your favorite social networks. 

Registration

 

Will I receive a certificate for the CPE courses I attend?
A certificate will be emailed to you for Ethics within 30 days of course completion. For all other courses, including webcasts certificates of attendance, certificates can be printed from our online CPE Tracker after signing in to your account.

When registering for courses, will I receive confirmation and a receipt?
Yes. When registering online, you will receive confirmation immediately following payment; when registering via phone, you will receive a confirmation the next business day.

Is there a way I can view what I have registered for?
Yes. Go to www.ficpa.org and log in; select “My Account,” and then “My Current Registrations.”

Will I have the opportunity to evaluate the course I attended?
Yes. Instead of picking up paper verification forms at FICPA’s CPE events, you can now verify your CPE online with EZVerification. You no longer have to fill out paper forms before you leave the event. A link to the EZVerification will be emailed to you during the last day of the conference/event. Simply click on the emailed link and fill out the online form to indicate the sessions you attended. Two weeks after you’ve completed the survey, your CPE Verification of Attendance will be added to your FICPA CPE Tracker. You will have seven days following the conference to fill out the form.

Are there CPE Group discounts available?
Yes. We extend a 15% discount to groups of 5-7 people from the same firm and a 20% discount to groups of eight or more from the same firm registering for Mega. All registrations must be made at the same time.

What is the CPE cancellation policy?
Full refunds are given for cancellations made more than 10 days prior to the course presentation date. A cancellation fee of $55 will apply if cancellation occurs within the ten-day window. Refunds are not issued for requests 30 days after the course presentation date.

If I cancel my conference registration will my hotel room canceled as well?
No. You will need to cancel your hotel reservation directly with the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

Can I transfer my registrations to someone else?
Yes. A transfer form can be filled out up to the morning of the event. If the registration is being transferred from a member to a non-member, the non-member fee will apply.

Internet Access & Conference Materials

 

Will there be Internet access at the conference?
Yes. There will be a limited number of wireless internet connections available to Mega CPE Conference attendees. Bandwidth is not guaranteed.

How do I access the conference EZ Materials manual?
All registrants will receive an email approximately one week before the conference that provides a link to download the conference material from our website. The manual can also be downloaded from your account. Because of the length of the manuals, we recommend using it as an electronic reference file instead of printing it.
